Jean Marie Robinson, 54, died Friday, May 31, 2019, at Unity Point – St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a long illness.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Faith Bible Church, 1800 46th St. NE, Cedar Rapids.
Jean was born January 3, 1965, in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of George Fredrick Robinson, Sr. and Ida Mae Broadwater. She graduated from Washington High School in Vinton in 1984. After graduation, she moved to Ottumwa, where she had her daughter, Dawn. She did various jobs. She worked assembling items for the holidays, went to work transferring medical files to disks and babysitting.
Jean enjoyed doing many things like crocheting, fishing, playing her keyboard and playing cards. She was also a practical joker and played jokes on anyone she could.
The thing that Jean liked most was spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, George, Sr. and her grandparents, Harley and Bessie Robinson and Harvey and Florence Huelsenbeck.
We would like to thank Unity Point – St. Luke’s ICU team for the amazing job they did in caring for Jean and our family.
A memorial fund has been established.
